Cypress College Professor of Political Science Peter Mathews says the middle are the “key voters” ahead of the US election. Donald Trump has taken aim at the court process after being found guilty in his hush money trial case. “There is a middle of the road, there’s an independent voter group … that makes a big difference,” Mr Mathews told Sky News Australia. Mr Mathews read the results of a YouGov poll taken after the Trump verdict, where “48 per cent said he was guilty, 25 per cent said he was innocent, and that’s independent voters – the middle. “The other voters … are going to vote against him or for him, but that 10 per cent or so in the middle are the key voters.”
