Temperatures in Rome climbed towards 35 degrees Celsius on Wednesday (June 19), as the first intense heat wave of the summer is expected to hit the city this week. According to the weather forecasting website iLMeteo.it, heatwave Minos , named after the mythological king of Crete, son of Zeus and Europa, will bring temperatures up to 43 degrees Celsius in south Italy, with temperatures of up to 39 degrees in the Italian capital.
