🌟 [ 49 ]   The Wieniawski Competition: the City of Poznan loves violin music! [ @Wieniawski Society ]

Every five years, in October, the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition makes the City of Poznań literally breathe with violin music for two weeks. It was no different during the recently concluded 16th edition of the event. We are convinced that the special atmosphere of those days is reflected in the videoclip in which the six finalists of the Competition took part. The young virtuosos joined forces to perform together a fragment of Ludwig van Beethoven s Sonata in G major No.10, in venues not entirely obvious to the Competition. 1st Prize – Hina Maeda (Japan), 2nd Prize – Meruert Karmenova (Kazakhstan), 3rd Prize – Qingzhu Weng (China) Distinctions: Hana Chang (Japan / Singapore / USA), Jane Hyeonjin Cho (South Korea), Dayoon You (South Korea) 16th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, 7-21.10.2022 konkurs.wieniawski.pl The next edition of the Wieniawski Violin Competition will take place in 2026.
