After independence, on 20 February 1948, the Government of India conducted a referendum in Junagadh! About 1,90,870 people cast their votes in this! Out of which Pakistan got only 91 votes! After this, Junagadh became a part of India! Later, when Pakistan tried to capture Manavadar, it had to face the Indian Army! After facing defeat both the times, when Pakistan took this issue to the UN, the UN officials there gave up! But despite facing defeat there, till date Pakistan does not consider Junagadh and Manavadar a part of India!
