Released across Java, iOS and DSiWare in 2009, Castle of Magic was one of the earliest 3D Gameloft games to come to iPhone, releasing a year before the first iPad had even launched. Alongside this, Castle of Magic for iOS was also the only 3D version of the 3, with the Java and DSiWare both designed as a purely 2D experience rather than the 2.5/3D design seen here. The game takes obviously inspiration from games like Rayman, Kirby, Mario and Tombi/Tomba, featuring similar gameplay mechanics alongside similar visuals and audio to those games as well. Intro -
