( 2817 viewed : 74 like : 26 comments ) Full game longplay of Fable, an Action-RPG, an OG Xbox exclusive, released for that platform only, in September/October 2004. Note: this is the original Fable, Fable: The Lost Chapters is a sort of enhanced edition , or with an expansion as it adds a whole epilogue after the og Fable's ending, it was the only version of Fable 1 to be released on PC. Played on the original Xbox hardware, at 480p display mode, at 4:3 (no widescreen hack for OG Fable, just for Fable: TLC). Recorded at 1440p60 H.265 NVENC via OBS, with capture card set at 120 FPS, so the game might potentially look more smoothly on the recording than what I saw in reality.
Note: there are some weird graphical stuff going on with this game, both Fable and Fable: TLC. Dithering, graphical artifacts, on just about everything, sky, fire, textures. No idea what's going on. After I recorded this, I've tried those same files on my Xbox 360, and it ran without those dithering issues, should have gone with that, but oh well. DON'T WATCH MY LONGPLAY WHILE VERY CLOSE TO YOUR MONITOR/PHONE, your eyes might not like what they see. xD
Fable takes place in Albion, a patchwork of city-states with lawless stretches of plains and forest between them. The entire land was once led by an ancient royal bloodline, bestowed with the title of Archon, referred to as the Old Kingdom . The first Archon's rule was peaceful and prosperous, but the source of his power was an ancient and powerful sword (the Sword of Aeons) that gradually began to corrupt him and, eventually, his entire kingdom. By the time the events of the game take place, the world has slowly deteriorated from the days of the Old Kingdom. One of the most prominent institutions of Albion is the Heroes' Guild. The Guild is a centre of learning and training for Heroes, renowned mercenaries that are active in all parts of Albion. Heroes are hired as thieves, soldiers, guards, rescuers, and protectors; the Guild makes no moral judgement on the actions of its Heroes.
