The Australian’s Editor-At-Large Paul Kelly says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese needs to “make a renewed effort” on closing the gap and needs to work with Peter Dutton to do so. Mr Kelly said the No outcome on the Voice was a “challenging outcome” for the Prime Minister. “He has said that he accepts the result and that of course is the easy part, he told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “His task now is one of healing and attempting to unite the country – that won’t be easy. “His focus is going to be very much I think on practicalities on closing the gap.”
