หนึ่งในฟังก์ชั่นใหม่ที่มาใน Sony A7 IV คือ FocusMAP ที่ให้เราเห็นเลยว่าโฟกัสขณะถ่ายวิดิโออยู่ในจุดไหน และ AF Assist แบบของ FX6 ที่เปลี่ยนไป manual focus ได้ทันทีขณะถ่ายวิดีโอด้วยการหมุนแหวนโฟกัส และเมื่อเราหยุดหมุนระบบ AF ก็จะทำงานต่อให้เองโดยอัตโนมัติ
