Heydrich comes as replacement as previous Reichsprotektor K. von Neurath was considered to soft . Heydrich started murderous rampage so mission for his killing was made in Britain. Operation Anthropoid was executed by two CS paratroopers Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš, who was hidding alongside with 5 other paratroopers J.Valčík, A.Opálka, J.Hrubý, J.Švarc and J.Bublík in Cyril-Metod church in Ressl street, Prague. Last paratrooper, Karel čurda was ill at home in small village Stará Hlína and was terrified by daily lists of executed. He breaks, traveled to Prague and tell gestapo everything. He even turn down Mrs. Moravcová, who served him breakfest this day. He recieved half an million reichs marks for this. After his execution in 1947 his name wa always synonym for betrayal. Paratroopers stood no chance in the current situation, fighting to the last bullet, which they save for themself. Their fight last 7 hours against 800 SS elite troopers with frontline experiences. As their work was far more gangster action then military action, i decide to public this edit.
