Sky News Australia s Tom Connell breaks down the latest Newspoll which shows a majority of Australians support the government’s stage three tax cut changes. He said the two-party preferred figure is the same as it was in December 2023 with Labor at 52 per cent. “I think they’ll be relatively happy at 52-48, he said. However, Mr Connell said the “trust cost” for Anthony Albanese after the recent tax cut changes will be a bit of a concern. The Prime Minister’s performance satisfaction dropped by one per cent to minus nine per cent in this month’s poll.
