Shadow Veterans’ Affairs Minister Barnaby Joyce says electric vehicles are just “another example” of how “completely and utterly distracted” the government is from the realities everyday Australians are experiencing. Mr Joyce’s comments come after concerns were raised about the price of electric vehicles for consumers. “This is why their polling’s tanking, this is Peter Pan economics,” Mr Joyce said. “We’re absolutely driving this economy into the ground. “EVs are just another example of how completely and utterly distracted and disjointed they are from the realities that the people at the checkout and the people trying to pay their power bills are experiencing.”
