KD Pathak claims in the court that Alfred Rego was in a meeting when George Rego was murdered. Rajnath Salgaonkar, the prosecution lawyer, counters KD’s claims by stating that Alfred planned George's murder and hired hitmen to execute his plan. While trying to gather evidence, KD recollects that he was taken to Chapora by the assailants. Then, KD and Varun walk into another trap set up to kill KD. However, KD survives and manages to catch the hitman. Before the hitman can reveal the identity of George’s killer, he is shot dead by an unknown assailant. KD and Varun's search for the shooter reaches a dead end. Then, KD receives a call from Savio Fonseca, who claims to have found a vital clue related to the case. When KD meets Savio, he pulls a gun to KD's head and reveals himself to be killer.
