Questions surround the Albanese government’s sovereign defence strategy as an Australian company breaks ranks to claim they are being refused a loan to claim a Brazilian missile manufacturer, Investigations reporter Jonathan Lea explains. The purchase would give the ADF access to long-range strike weapons urgently needed to compete on the world stage. Sky News can reveal the government is still refusing after ten months to tick off on a loan which would see long-range tactical cruise missiles made and owned by an Australian company. DefendTex CEO Travis Reddy claims the purchase would see Australia’s military presence on equal footing with nations like the US, France and Germany.
