Pentax just recently released a ton of new info about their new film camera, the Pentax 17, a half frame camera donning a 25mm f/3.5 lens, and many both automatic and manual features. Because it is a half frame camera, you re effectively doubling your frames, and saving you money in the long wrong. While many will look at this as a huge pro or con for the camera, it s certainly aimed more toward a newer film photographer, something looking to get into the hobby. I think the Pentax 17 could also be a great sidekick to a main camera, being a reliable point and shoot, but for nearly $500, comes in at a decently steep price point.
