This idea that the president of the United States is not above the law is just “simplistic”, says Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi. “It is so absurd and so simplistic to say no one’s above the law – the president has powers that others don’t have,” Ms Panahi said. “He can declassify documents, he can pardon people for whatever reason he chooses.”
