Celebrate the red, white, and blue with these adorable flag cupcakes!Use piping tip 1A to pipe a dollop of white buttercream onto cupcakes, press onto parchment paper, and transfer to the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes. When chilled, remove from parchment paper. Tint the remaining buttercream 1/2 red and 1/2 blue using Wilton s Gel Food Coloring Set available at your favorite grocery store!Cut out thin strips of parchment paper (1cm or .39 inches shown here) and space them out on top of the white buttercream tops. Use an offset spatula to spread red buttercream over the top of the strips then carefully peel off to reveal the stripes. Put the cupcakes in the fridge to let the red buttercream set.Cut out squares of parchment paper and stick them on top of the cupcake to create a square in the top left corner. Use an offset spatula to spread blue buttercream over the corner. Peel off the parchment. Attach white stars from Wilton s Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Star Mix sprinkles to the blue buttercream. Impress your friends and feel very patriotic while enjoying!
