Author Douglas Murray has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after it was announced the Duke of Sussex would receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service at this year s upcoming ESPY award ceremony in Los Angeles. The award is given to a person with a “strong connection to sports” who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player and US Army Ranger Pat Tillman, according to ESPN. “What happens with a lot of this is Meghan or Harry s PR people put in calls to ask about various awards they can be given and then they bring their celebrity to the awards process and everyone benefits. I mean, it s so cynical,” Mr Murray told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.
