leaving suburban life and moving over the sea to a remote cottage on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.
This week, the Skye Lifers are heading out on the road -
on the hottest day of the year so far, in their Land Rover Defender...with no air-con!!
Can we bring the sunshine with us., as we cross the Scottish Highlands, from the Isle of Skye in the west to the coastal town of Kirkcaldy in the East?!
We use this opportunity to stop at some of our favourite autumnal foraging spots, to see if we can find any of the amazing wild mushrooms that we love to eat -
ceps and chanterelles.

this video is not a foraging field guide. We have over 20 years experience of foraging and we only pick what we are 100% sure about the ID of. Please do not eat any wild foods that you are unsure about -
if in doubt, leave it behind!
