The deal is among the biggest five takeovers by an ASX-listed company ever.
Berry has 34,000 employees in more than 200 locations, while Amcor has 41,000 workers and operates in 40 countries.
Amcor makes a range of cartons, containers and wrappers for food, pharmaceuticals and personal products.
The US-based Berry complements this with its range of packaging -
especially rigid containers, which are used for various household products.
The deal will give the combined company 1500 Research and Development staff with an annual budget of $US180 million. [ 2024-11-20T05:58:17Z ] :flashminiupdate:2024-11-20 :::: Check it out >> [ 🔗 Click here 🌐 ‼️ ]
