Part 1 -
Speed and Loading
. Found this to be the same actually quicker mobile on an Ipad vs PC version, this differs based on type and age of your device.
. Here is an Arena comparison which was faster on mobile
. But depending on pace to take down enemy it would vary the time.
. The PC version seemed to have slower loading screens going from fight to fight and started first.
Part 2 – Inputs.
. One of my biggest bug bears is inputs and response to said inputs
. On the footage first off I didn’t feel controller had that quick rate of input to action.
. My PS5 Controller which is a good controller seemed to be slightly off in response to input acknowledgment time.
. On keyboard which I used a wired keyboard I found the response time for input to action very quick and I was able to a level of dexing on mobile ive not been able to do in years.
. I will when I return to livestreaming in March have to get non noisey keyboard.
Part 3 – Screen Size, Playing on Laptop, Portability and Kabam saving me money
. PC Version saved me $1500 as I was going to buy a new ipad but
. Compatibility will always be an issue but switching to PC might allow for less
. like seeing All roster
. Playing on laptop felt a little janky but it is a good portable option.
Part 4 -
Cheating Concerns and balancing
. Kabam answered this.
. I would say if the inputs are better for one medium, don’t nerf keyboard performance, raise Mobile and controller performance to the same level
Conclusion and overall assessment of experience
. Its good, work does need to be done as its rough around edges
. Performance has been good but its very early days as still in Beta.
. Provides me a cost effective option that I don’t have to replace my Ipad or get a new mobile.
. Arena and grindy modes don’t work .
. If I wanted to farm arena I would go mobile. If I watch a movie im playing mobile.
. If I did some Battlegrounds, Alliance war or anything that requires NO margin for error I might use Keyboad and mouse
. It is largely a learning curve so at first it will be bad.
. From a content creation perspective I like the larger screen for opening crystals
. Controller is a clunky and will need some care further down the line.
