🌟 [ 1 ]   before you buy BEHEMOTH VR.

( 6513 viewed : 453 like : 85 comments ) BEHEMOTH…is not the game I thought it was gonna be. In some ways it’s even better than I hoped, but in other ways it’s kind of a let down. Okay, maybe thats being a bit dramatic, you see what we have here is objectively a really high quality VR adventure with a decently long main story, challenging melee combat, a really cool grappling hook mechanic, several jaw-dropping boss fights, and an an endless arena mode to keep you busy after the credits roll. Oh and did I mention the absolutely gorgeous environmental designs??? But…I have to be upfront with you. BEHEMOTH is not quite the new pinnacle of VR as I was kinda predicting it would be coming from this incredibly proven VR studio, you know the ones behind The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. I really hoped this game would innovate on some of the super immersive mechanics they established there….but sadly behemoth feels like a step backwards when it’s comes to VR interactions.

HOWEVER, that being said what IS here is still a pretty high quality VR game. The combat was challenging which was a nice change from Blade & Sorcery. The grappling hook was incredibly fun to use and the rope physics were oddly really impressive. The inverse kinematics on the arms felt incredibly realistic, I just wish you had a torso and legs. But of course, the gigantic Behemoth fights are the real highlight. The game really feels inspired by Shadow of the Colossus and even Elden Ring so if you like games like that, you’ll probably love Behemoth.
