How world leaders react to Irans Raisis death
Iranian state media are reporting that a technical failure caused the helicopter crash that killed President Ebrahim Raisi and the foreign minister. It happened Sunday in a remote region near the border with Azerbaijan. Iran s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appointed an interim president who must hold elections within the next 50 days. He s also ordered five days of national mourning. Raisi s death has prompted mixed reactions from governments and world leaders.
