The Albanese government has been warned its proposal to crack down on social media misinformation will be seen as an “act of aggression” against the incoming Trump administration.

“That’s why everyone from the Catholic Church to Professor Anne Twomey to the Anglican Church to so many other groups has come out and condemned it,” Mr Coleman told Sky News Australia.
