The caller, 18-year-old Ashton Heier, told dispatchers that he had shot his 37-year-old stepbrother, Aaron Holmstrom, claiming that Aaron had come after him with a bat.
When officers arrived on the scene, they detained Ashton and secured the residence. Paramedics transported Aaron to the hospital with a single gunshot wound to his chest, while police began their investigation.
Ashton was taken to the police station for questioning. The interrogation, where Ashton recounted the events leading to the shooting, was captured on camera.
