Rottnest is a small inhabited island about 12 miles off the coast from Fremantle in WA. For the people of Perth it's their paradise island holiday retreat. The island is Inhabited by the Quokka, a small marsupial as cute as its name.
Once there, you can get about by bus or bike, visiting numerous beaches and bays. There are a couple of pubs and bars for the evening and some great cafes.
